Wildlife Removal in Hanahan, SC

Hanahan's established residential neighborhoods, many built in the 1960s and 70s, are particularly prone to bat colonies. The aging construction details of that era provide reliable access points. Monster Wildlife handles the full scope: legal bat exclusion, raccoon removal, squirrel exclusion, and complete attic cleanup when needed.

Hanahan has one of the highest bat colony rates per capita in our service area, due to its older housing stock. Early intervention prevents expensive guano cleanup.

About Hanahan, SC

Hanahan is a city in Berkeley County bordered by North Charleston and Goose Creek. It is home to several established residential neighborhoods built primarily in the 1960s through 1990s, as well as Joint Base Charleston. The older housing stock, combined with mature trees and proximity to tidal creeks, creates consistent wildlife pressure all year.

Common questions

Hanahan wildlife removal: questions answered.

Hanahan has a significant stock of homes built in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in the neighborhoods around Rivers Avenue and Hanahan Drive. These homes were built with construction standards of that era: aluminum soffit, louvered gable vents with metal screens that have since corroded, and ridge gaps that have widened over decades. Bats exploit gaps as small as 3/8 of an inch, and these aging details provide consistent access. We find bat colonies in this housing stock more than in any newer construction.
First, we inspect the full exterior to find every entry point. We identify the species (most commonly free-tailed, big brown, evening, or tricolored bats) and check where we are relative to the exclusion windows SCDNR recommends. Outside pup season, we install exclusion doors over active entry points, seal all secondary entries, and allow the colony to exit over 1 to 3 weeks. Then we seal the primary entries, remove the exclusion devices, and if needed, schedule attic cleanup for the guano that was left behind.
Yes. Hanahan has commercial and light industrial areas where wildlife problems in structures are common. We handle commercial wildlife removal including raccoons, birds, and rodents in warehouses, office buildings, and buildings with multiple tenants throughout the Hanahan area.
